Are you ready to blog?

Hello! My name is Tricia LaRue, and I am the Teacher Librarian at Niver Creek Middle School. This my 10th year teaching, and I've spent the last 5 of those years as a Teacher Librarian. It's exciting to be starting my second year at Niver Creek. Middle School is fun, too, because there is so much great Young Adult literature out there to read.

That literature is one of my favorite parts of my job...that and working with all of our awesome students! I know students have been reading--so far this school year, in the month of September, we have had close to 1,900 books checked out! That's a great start to the school year! So, I started this blog to give students, staff, and parents a way to share the great books they have been reading. What better way is there to find a new book to read than to see what other people are reading?

It's also a great way to see what activities are going on in the library, like Teen Read Week or the Scholastic Book Fair. If any one has questions about anything we are doing, you can post comments, too. I'll answer your questions as quickly as possible. Remember, questions and things you post won't be available for everyone to read until I read them first. For more information on our library program as well as other resources for research and reading, please visit the Niver Creek library page here. Thanks!
